Directions from Georgia

Driving north on WV 119 (Corridor G), take the Waterways exit that is just north of the water park. Follow the road approximately two-tenths of a mile to the trailhead. Driving distance is approximately 21 miles south of Charleston and 10 miles north of the Madison/Danville exit

Henry,

 Not sure what trails your used to riding or what you consider family friendly. I took my wife to Pinnacle last year for her first ATV trip and she loved it. So much so that we came home and bought her a wheeler that week. She had only ridden up and down the drive way before. Trails were very well marked and even the blue trails seemed rather easy to me and fine for her. She has since ridden some of the rough stuff at Coal Creek in TN and likes HM much better. We are going back to HM in June to ride Indian Ridge and staying at Ashland Resort. I can give you a better idea then. We stayed at an Inn in Pineville last year. It was nice but we wanted to camp this year and spend more time ridding. As for distance, I can't say. We are an hour and a half south of you in Barnesville but I think it is about a 10 hour ride for us.

Hey Daniel,  just joined and planned to go with 6 guys from Cobb Co.   I just bought a KTM 300exc used and have some issues with metal in the oil so should not go this time.  Will want to go at some point.  Need riding partner.

Have done some riding on BLM lands in Utah and Colorado, planning spring and fall "Out West" 2011 ride now.
More of a tourer and atv camper, than a mudder or most difficult trail guy but i'll try anything once.
